How can I start playing?

Q:What is Critical Ops?

A:

Are you ready to delve into wildly intense gaming experience?

C-OPS is the FPS game that puts you in the center of enrapturing multiplayer action and lets you join the battle across an abundance of beautifully crafted maps and challenging game modes.

Critical Ops delivers brilliantly executed gameplay on both competitive and casual levels. Intelligent ranking pits you against the players that match your skill, with the option to go head-to-head or team up to tackle complex scenarios and situations.

Whether you play with friends or go at it alone, Critical Ops brings tons of blistering action and impacful thrills. The game is purely skill based, which means that it is not and never will be pay-to-win. Therefore, you can genuinely feel the excitement of victory when you earn new ranks.

The game currently is in Beta phase; Critical Ops is still under development, but you can download and play the game now. Regular updates improve game performance and introduce new game modes, features and unique weapon skins to personalize the experience for you as a player.

Q:Where can I find Critical Ops?

A:

You can download Critical Ops from Google Play store or from Amazon App Store for Android devices and from Apple App Store for iOS devices.

Q:With what kind of a device can I play?

A:

If you have an Android phone or tablet, your device must have OS Android 4.4 or more.

If you have an Apple device, it must have iOS 10.0 or more.

Your device’s RAM must be 1Gb or more. Please make sure you have enough free memory on your device.

If your device is incompatible or you can’t download the game properly even though your device meets these requirements, please take notice that our game does not support rooted or otherwise emulated devices.

If you have downloaded your game from some unauthorized source, it might not work properly. We only support downloads from authorized app stores.

Q:Can I still play on PC?

A:

The Gameroom version was permanently shut down on 10th July 2017. After a long and thorough consideration, we decided to focus on development of the mobile version of the game, since our main audience preferred it instead. We are a mobile game studio, thus our focus is and always will be on mobile online gaming and competitive eSports. We are aware that this may affect on some players’ opinions and feelings about Critical Ops. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and sincerely hope that you will enjoy our game on mobile!

Game modes

Q:Quick Games

A:

Defuse

In Defuse mode the terrorist team’s goal is to plant the bomb and defend it, while the counter-terrorist team tries to stop them. The round ends when the bomb has exploded or if it’s defused. The other possible win condition for either of the teams is when all of the players of the opposing team are defeated before the bomb was planted.

Deathmatch

Opposing teams keep fighting each other until the timer runs out. The team with most kills wins.

Q:Ranked

A:

To unlock ranked games you need to score 250 kills in Quick Games. In ranked games, the players are awarded points for every game that they win. Every lost ranked game leads to deduction of points as well. Based on the player’s performance, they can get promoted or demoted in rank.

Q:Gun Game

A:

Gun Game is an upcoming game mode in Critical Ops. Gun Game is a game mode that is played in teams, but all players individually are working their way through all the of the weapons in the game. Each kill accounts towards leveling up to the next weapon on the list. The game mode is scheduled to be released by the 1.0 update.

Game features

Q:Maps

A:

There are five maps to choose from. Bureau, Canals, Grounded, Legacy and Plaza. More maps are going to be added in the future.

Q:Friends system

A:

You can add your friends in-game. This will allow you to see whether your friend is online and jump straight into their game. You can also invite your friends to join you in ranked games as well as communicate with them in chat.

Q:Are you going to add x gun, a new map or x new feature?

A:

There will be new guns and maps in the future. We are not, however, going to copy maps or any content from other games, keeping our game unique from other FPS games in the market.

You can follow our updates on our Roadmap. We update all our plans there as soon as we know them ourselves.

Q:What are the clans and how to make one?

A:

Players can create clans to play together with friends. The clan members receive a clan tag, which is visible in-game. The number of members in a clan is limited, but it is possible to add more slots in the clan up to 50 players.

In the future, we plan to implement other social features, which would allow players from two different clans to compete against each other for rewards, and many more others.

Q:Trading skins and offline game

A:

For now, we are not planning to add these features.

Hot topics

Q:There is a hacker in the game! What to do?

A:

Making the game hack-proof requires a lot of effort. We are, however, developing a reliable anti-cheat system to keep the game hacker-free.

If you want to report a hacker, we need a proper video footage (at least 15 seconds in length) as proof of the offense that the user has committed. Screenshots alone are not reliable enough.

Upload your video to YouTube or Google Drive and send us the link to the video, so we can add the link of the video in the banned player’s profile, in case of appeals.

Please send the clip that you recorded to reportahacker@criticalforce.fi.

Q:Can I have some skins, please?

A:

We do not give cases, credits, skins or knives simply by request. However, we do case giveaways on our Community Live Stream on Tuesdays at 3:00 PM PST / 23:30 PM BST. Also, we run contests where you can win cases! Follow us on Twitter to never miss a contest.

The only other way to get skins is to open cases, or purchase them with blue credits.

Q:Will you add voice chat in the game?

A:Right now we are not planning to add this feature due to technical limitations on mobile devices.

Q:Clan stolen or missing clan leader

A:

If your clan has been stolen or scammed from you by another player, there is nothing we can currently do to help. Please do not hand over clan ownership to other players unless you are certain of their intentions. The clan can be upgraded by any player, you do not need to be the clan leader to do this.

If your clan leader is no longer playing the game or has lost access to their clan leader account, you will need to create a new clan to procure clan leader status.

My account

Q:Linking an account

A:

You can link your C-OPS account to Facebook, Google Play on Android or Game Center on iOS right after you have completed the tutorial. Just tap the username on the upper right corner to link your account and submit the required information.

Please remember that you should never share your account details with others. Also note, that nobody from Critical Force will ever ask for your password.

Q:Can I change the Facebook/Google Play/Apple account my C-OPS account is linked to?

A:

No, you can’t.

Lost account

Q:Can I have more than one account on my device?

A:

If you sign into multiple accounts on your device you might lose one or several in the process, and we can’t retrieve the lost ones. So, we strongly recommend using only one account to play the game.

Q:How can I get my account back?

A:

Try the following:

  1. Close the game and log out of an active account
  2. Open the game again and when it asks for login details, click cancel. The game should start with a guest account instead.
  3. Click on the guest account’s name and check if you can see your lost account in the list.

If yes, just link it again. If you can’t see your lost account, we are afraid it is gone.

Q:I lent my account to someone else and now it’s gone!

A:

Never share your account details with others! If you lose your account as a result of lending it to someone, there is nothing we can do to help you to get it back.

Q:The account that I linked to C-OPS was hacked and I can’t log in anymore!

A:

You should contact Facebook/Google/Amazon/Apple App Store support right away and secure your account. We recommend changing your password and logging out of all open accounts.

How do I get all that cool stuff?

Q:Cases

A:

You can buy cases from the store with credits. One case contains one skin, ranging from tier 1 to 5.

Q:Credits

A:

You can earn credits by completing in-game missions, watching video ads or by completing offers from the offerwall.

Please note, that sometimes it takes time for credits to be added to your account. Usually offers published by our ad partners include a time estimate. Please note that our company is not responsible for the offers published by the ad providers. If the credits were not awarded to your account once the offer was completed, please use the support-button (question mark on the upper right corner of the offer screen) and submit a support ticket there.

You can also buy credits as in-app purchases with real money.

Q:Skins

A:

You can purchase cases with orange credits in the shop. Each case contains a random skin ranging from tier 1 to tier 5.

You can earn credits by watching advertisements in the store. In order to access ads, click the “earn credits” button. Watching an ad will award orange credits to your account. The amount of credits received varies depending on the ad provider and number of advertisements watched. Please note, as there might not be any ads available in your region, this option might not appear on your screen.

You can use the orange credits to purchase a case in the store.

When a case gives you a duplicate skin you’ll be compensated with blue credits. When you have enough blue credits you can purchase a skin of your choice in the loadout menu.

Q:Milestones

A:
Milestones are an in-game feature that provides long-term goals and helps to keep track of your weapon specific statistics.

When a player completes a milestone objective, they are rewarded. Each milestone shows your progress towards the current objective.

Currently, the rewards from milestones are either Tier Cases or Credits.

Q:Flash Sales

A:
Looking for a specific skin that is just right for you? Now you can buy selected skins from the store with flash sales.

Every eight hours a new skin is on offer in the store. If the skin is to your liking, you can purchase it directly with credits, for a limited time period. The price of the skin is determined by the skin tier.

In-App Purchases

Q:Can I enhance my performance in the game with real-money purchases?

A:

The game is not and never will be pay-to-win. In Critical Ops you can’t influence your game performance with money, but you can enhance your looks instead! You can buy cases that contain different skins for the weapons.

Q:Refunds

A:

As with most downloadable software products, items bought through our game are non-refundable. The transaction process is controlled by Apple (for iOS devices), Google (for Android devices) or Amazon (Amazon devices).

For Apple (iOS) devices

Go to Apple support page, scroll down until you find the “Get Support” button. Choose “Apps & Software”, then “Mac App Store” and lastly select “Purchases, billing and redemption” and choose the option that fits your case.

For Google (Android) devices

Go to Google Play Help and click “Refunds & returns” to choose the option that suits you.

For Amazon devices

Go to Amazon Appstore, scroll all the way down, and click “Help”. Choose “Returns & Refunds” and then search for the option that suits you best.

NOTE: You can easily adjust your in-app purchases settings, add password protection, or disable in-app purchases entirely through your mobile device’s general settings. The way to do this depends on whether you’re using an Apple device, an Android device or an Amazon device. Either way, you can find the instructions below:

Q:The game crashed when I was opening a case and now I lost a skin!

A:

The skins from opened cases NEVER disappear, even if the game crashes at the very moment of the case being opened. We pay very close attention to that. The skins from opened cases can either be found in the loadout menu or, if you got a duplicate, were converted into blue credits.

Connection and performance

Q:Why is my game lagging?

A:

If you have an Android phone or tablet, your device must have OS Android 4.4 or more.

If you have an Apple device, it must have iOS 9.0 or more.

Your device’s RAM must be 1Gb or more. If it is, but the game is lagging, try closing other open applications and restart the game. Please make sure you have enough free memory on your device.

We also recommend checking your internet connection.

If everything is in order, but the game’s performance is still not up to par, please try updating your OS and restart the device. If it didn’t help, reinstalling the game might work. Lastly, you can try turning your wifi off, clearing Critical Ops’ cache off of your device and turning the wifi back on. The same applies to other types of internet connections (router/modem/3G)

Q:Why is my game crashing?

Q:My game gets stuck in authentication. What can I do?

A:

This happened probably due to your linked account’s password being recently changed. Restarting your device should help. If it doesn’t, try reinstalling the game.

Q:My game gets stuck in loading or shuts the game after loading!

A:

Most certainly the reason to this issue arising is that there is not enough memory on the device to run the game properly. Your device’s RAM must be 1Gb or more. If your device upholds the system requirements but this happens, try restarting your device and reinstalling the game.
